Fire Suppression Service Technician

Fire Suppression Service Technician 4 Responsibilities Performs direct field labor work under guidance from Team Leaders and Managers and projects delivery. Specialized knowledge in diagnostics and repair. Inspection and testing of fire sprinkler and suppression systems, intermediate repair and maintenance, safety and compliance, documentation and reporting, and customer communication and coordination. Includes O&M field labor support when necessary. Performs service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems, and Suppression Gas Systems and other related building system products at customer sites. Services, troubleshoots, and installs systems from many manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. Manages daily service calls, customer activity, and program system products. Works with clean agent systems, dry chemical systems, and special hazards. How You Will Do It Assists customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Participates in an on‑call rotation for emergency service. Performs inspections of suppression gas systems based on contract requirements. Inspects customer systems using smartphone and equipment; may include government work. Qualifications Excellent communication and organizational skills. Outstanding customer‑facing service and problem‑solving skills. PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook. FEL‑A preferred. Any manufacturer certifications is a plus (ANSUL, Kiddie, PyroChem, RMEI, and preferred multi‑license). Valid U.S. driver’s license. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29.95 – $41.20 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
