O-G Family & General Dentistry has proudly served the Ottawa and Glandorf communities since 1979, providing comprehensive dental care in a welcoming, patient-focused environment. We are seeking a Dental Assistant or Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team and become a long-term part of our practice.

Whether you are an experienced EFDA, an established Dental Assistant, or a recent graduate eager to begin your career, we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, coachable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Schedule

Full-Time

Office Hours:

• Monday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Tuesday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Occasional Fridays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You'll Do
Dental Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor chairside during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care
• Take and process digital radiographs
• Assist hygienists as needed
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain treatment rooms
• Sterilize and organize instruments and equipment
• Stock operatories and clinical supplies
• Assist with shipping and receiving of cases and materials
• Seat and dismiss patients
• Make patient reminder calls when needed
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the practice

EFDA Responsibilities (if applicable)

• Perform expanded function duties as permitted by Ohio regulations
• Place and finish restorations
• Support doctors and team members with advanced clinical procedures
• Assist chairside when needed and remain flexible in helping across clinical functions

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant or EFDA experience preferred, but not required
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Current certifications required by state regulations
