Registered Nurse - Step-down Unit

This position requires 12-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.

The Registered Nurse in the Step-down Unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations. The focus is on monitoring patients with complex medical needs, administering treatments, and providing education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions in a step-down/telemetry environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
• Document patient progress in the EMR system (Paragon and Pyxis).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1-2 years of step-down/telemetry experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
