Field Safety Advisor (Bilingual)

Position: Metro Pavers (a Sunland Company) Metro Pavers, a Sunland Company, is seeking an experienced and results-driven bilingual (English/Spanish) Field Safety Advisor to join our growing team. Competitive salary 401(K) match after 30 days of employment Work/Life Balance and Community Involvement Comprehensive Health Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision Award Winning Peers & Projects A Foundation Built on Safety Essential Duties The Field Safety Advisor provides leadership and management of Sunland Health and Safety Program to include the following components: Employee shall perform all duties and responsibilities with Sunland’s Core Values at the forefront. Spend the majority of time in the field working with crews to improve overall safety and health. Conduct Safety Meetings. Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures. Survey each job site for proper safety procedures prior to start of project. Document and communicate Safety Surveys/Audit results and corrective measures. Distribute jobsite safety reports to Corporate Office and Clients. Conduct training to include OSHA 10/30, FA/CPR/AED, and periodic safety updates and refresher training according to OSHA regulations. Manage safety compliance and monitoring. Manage safety-related corrective action. Participate in Safety Committee. Construct and implement AHA/JHA/PTP and site specific safety programs. Ensure accident investigation, accident prevention, injury management and return to work programs are followed and documented. Interface with all outside companies and agencies including but not limited to insurance, OSHA, state and federal agencies. Maintain safety files and records. Any and all other duties assigned. Qualifications Bilingual: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish (i.e., must be able to read, write, facilitate training, etc.) Must have current OSHA 500 Certification Familiarity with common business computer software applications is expected. Strong attention to detail and follow through. Good leadership & analytical skills. Good interpersonal and strong negotiation skills. CSP, CHST or other safety-related certifications desired. Valid Driver’s License
