This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems.

Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Drafter to support our engineering and configuration management efforts in Crane, IN. Our ideal applicant will have experience with high-quality drafting, SolidWorks modeling, and documentation control in a structured, fast-paced environment.

This position will work onsite and requires a secret security clearance.

Salary is determined by a combination of factors including job responsibilities, experience, performance, market conditions, internal equity, and location.

LEVEL 2 - $46,257 - $66,082

LEVEL 3 - $53,432 - $76,331

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.

• Support configuration management activities including document control, revision tracking, and engineering change integration.

• Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, CAD standards, and applicable industry specifications.

• Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to maintain design accuracy and proper documentation.

• Participate in configuration audits and maintain accurate records of engineering and design data.

• Maintain excellent quality standards in all drafting and documentation deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications

• LEVEL 2 - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience.

• LEVEL 3 - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience.

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with advanced modeling and drawing skills.

• Solid understanding of configuration control, documentation standards, and CAD data management.

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

• Clearance: Active SECRET security clearance required.

Preferred Requirements

• 10+ years of expereince

• Accredited SolidWorks Trainer

• Experience supporting DoD, defense, or government engineering environments

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
