Job#: 3043408 Job Description Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Contract Duration: 12 Months Role Overview This is a high-impact, hands-on senior developer role supporting regulatory compliance and risk reduction initiatives. The position offers strong ownership and visibility across senior technology and compliance stakeholders. The successful candidate will work on complex datasets and surveillance logic with end-to-end accountability for delivering regulator-ready solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers for trade data processing. Build scalable data pipelines to support Trade Surveillance use cases, such as market abuse detection and alert generation. Develop and optimize high-volume batch processing jobs. Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, reconciliation, and reporting. Collaborate with compliance and surveillance teams to translate surveillance scenarios into technical solutions. Support alert generation frameworks and case management data structures. Ensure data lineage, traceability, and auditability of trade data. Build and enhance trade surveillance data quality controls and remediate issues impacting surveillance outcomes. Review, understand, and re-engineer logic from Actimise AIS into PL/SQL. Perform query tuning, indexing, and execution plan optimization for large datasets. Required Qualifications Experience: 10+ years of hands-on software development experience. Technical Skills Strong, production-level knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and Actimise AIS. Experience with relational and object databases. Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning and a strong understanding of database internals. Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and version control. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to data accuracy and control effectiveness. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulatory-driven environment. Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders. Proactive mindset with ownership and accountability. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation. Familiarity with the trade lifecycle (orders, executions, etc.). Exposure to Trade Surveillance, Market Misconduct, or Global Markets Compliance. Exposure to the Actimise AIS platform.
