Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to understand daily tasks and priorities, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Set up and take down supplies and project materials daily, contributing to an interactive and stimulating learning environment. Assist with organizing and supervising Friday field trips, providing enriching experiences for students outside the classroom. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students and families, building positive relationships and a sense of community. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the learning environment, ensuring the well‑being of all participants. Provide daily support to the Lead Teacher, assisting with classroom activities and student supervision as needed. Qualifications Fun, nurturing, and caring personality, with a genuine passion for working with children. Highly organized and flexible, able to adapt to diverse tasks and responsibilities. Experience in child care is appreciated, demonstrating an understanding of the needs and interests of school‑age children. First‑aid and CPR certification are appreciated, highlighting a commitment to safety and well‑being. One to two years of college experience in a related field, especially education, is preferred, showcasing your academic background and interest in the field. Previous work experience with school‑age children (ages 5-12) is desirable, demonstrating practical skills and knowledge. Experience preparing and serving snacks is advantageous, contributing to the nutritional needs of students. Knowledge of the developmental needs of school‑age children, facilitating effective engagement and support. Effective communication skills, able to collaborate with colleagues and interact positively with students and families. Punctual and reliable, able to begin work shifts on time and fulfill scheduled hours.
