The role provides analysis and insights to senior leaders to support profitability, efficiency, and long-term regional growth in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic:Support TDS Tech US performance targets and is responsible for partnering on financial planning and forecast, monthly and quarterly reporting of expenses and FTEProvide analytics to drive segment discussions including TDS Tech TSLT presentation materials as well as external/public storytelling of the SegmentMonthly Board Reporting for the TDS Tech US Region relating to details on expense analytics and commentaryCoordination with partners to ensure proper analysis, challenge, and oversight of TDS Tech regional reportingBusiness advisory and ad hoc supportProactively identify cost opportunities, analyze data on material components of spending and provide constructive options to find efficiencies and savings enabling business decisions and management actionsTelling the financial cost story, linking the strategic priorities and accomplishments of the group while providing value-added advice to gain financial efficiencies while optimizing group effectivenessPlanning, Analysis and Insights:Performance measurement, reporting, and metrics to improve transparency and establish cost management strategies (targets). Clear, effective, and timely reporting.Provide input into the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure cost assumptions are accurate and realisticMonitor actual vs forecasted costs and flag variancesFunction as the cost management expert and lead on Finance change projects to improve systems, processes and outputs that relate to cost managementManage the Performance Measurements, and Insights organization (people, expenses, other stakeholders including internal and external partners (e.g., regulators, auditors)Analyze financial data and prepare reports on cost variances, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.Monitor and report on market trends and pricing strategies to help guide decisions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve targets while managing costs effectively.Required Skills and ExperienceUndergraduate degreeBusiness or accounting designation preferred or in progress (MBA, CPA).4+ years of finance experience at a global institutionExcellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.Client service skills - the candidate must demonstrate the judgment and ability to closely partner with and advise senior and line managers and other stakeholders on cost managementStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, solid judgment, and the ability to evaluate complex regulatory business issuesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, including by demonstrating excellent time management and planning skills, along with the ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and to collaborate with various teams.A relationship builder with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with regulators and with business and functional partners at the firm.Proficient in MS Office and the use of AI applications, Power BI and Power Query to drive automation of financial processes______________________________________________________________________The Sr. Specialized Finance Analyst, TDS performs a variety of specialized finance functions in a particular finance area(s) with a high level of technical knowledge to give detailed and well-informed opinions of assigned business activities.Depth & Scope:Expert level professional role requiring in-depth knowledge / expertise in own domain / field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areasIntegrates the broader organizational context into advice and solutions within own areaAccountable for own work and sometimes others; considers and explains risk management issues prior to implementation, such as determining how the accounting of new initiatives will be monitored and controlledPerforms a variety of activities related to month-end financial closing, which details the Bank's month-to-month financial condition, and/or completion of regulatory reportsReviews monthly financial activity and ensures transactions are appropriately recorded in proper accounts, such as cost capitalizing vs. expensing.
