VP - Commercial Finance

Vice President, Commercial Finance Location: New York, NY Responsibilities Monitor and ensure timely completion of analysis, investment and development opportunities within the established budget, schedule, and required investment returns. Mitigate financial risk by employing established strategies to limit or offset the probability of financial loss or exposure to uncertainty. Identify and communicate financial risks and work collaboratively with business partners to resolve issues. Prioritize data and analytics needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions supporting key performance indicators and strategic objectives. Develop and implement systems, processes and reporting capabilities for senior leadership to assess financial viability and operational performance of projects. Manage financial activities, quantitative research, and change management initiatives to maintain cost controls for business development initiatives. Review financial and accounting records, statements and economic data to implement cost control processes for each development project. Act as a strategic planner and advisor on day‑to‑day project operations, directing organization, collection and reporting of financial/economic data across all groups. Manage budgets, financial analysis, schedules, and business development opportunities, applying engineering and construction expertise to analyze project performance. Collaborate with the Commercial Strategy Group to manage business development projects and budgets, validating prospective development and forecasting revenues and expenses. Ensure compliance with company and government regulations for all business development projects, identifying and projecting long‑range financial plans and economic influences. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute pricing and growth strategies aligned with business objectives and financial targets. Develop, structure, and negotiate contract terms for new opportunities, assist with structuring and securing third‑party financing, and oversee pricing strategy and growth initiatives for network infrastructure, focusing on Transit. Develop and supervise financial models supporting strategic decision‑making, conducting sensitivity analyses to identify key performance drivers and applying experience in funding and structuring major infrastructure projects. Maintain business models across multiple products within the Venues and Transit product categories, reviewing engineering estimates for cost and schedule, and structuring project finance models for infrastructure transactions. Qualifications Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Business Administration, Finance or a closely related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Business Administration, Finance or a closely related field and at least 5 years of post‑degree progressive experience. Experience in financial and economic data analysis, including project cash flow analysis, profit and loss and balance sheet variance analysis, budget forecasting and ROI/profitability ratios. Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet requirements, government regulations, accurate forecasting and reconciliation, annual budget processing and complex financial transactions. Ability to manage the technical aspects of collecting, extracting, tracking, and interpreting financial and economic data and completing complex analyses to monitor operational expenditures, prepare financial forecasts, and identify savings. Experience with pricing strategy, growth initiatives for network infrastructure, focusing on Transit; reviewing engineering estimates, cost and schedule; and structuring project finance models with various financing sources. Experience applying engineering and construction expertise to analyze project performance and impact of funding and financial structuring on construction costs, schedule, revenue performance, and contracting decisions.
