TEST & TRIALS WORKER (ELECTRICAL)

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Test & Trials Worker (Electrical) with a minimum of 4 years of electrical experience, preferably in the marine or shipbuilding industry. Responsible for assisting with testing, troubleshooting, inspection, and operational trials of electrical systems and equipment onboard vessels or within industrial environments. Candidates must be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working in fast-paced production and testing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical testing and troubleshooting of shipboard or industrial systems and equipment
• Perform operational checks and dock/sea trial support for electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents
• Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, wiring, and control systems
• Support startup, commissioning, and testing activities for marine electrical systems
• Operate electrical testing equipment and hand tools safely and effectively
• Document test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions
• Work closely with electricians, engineers, supervisors, and production teams
• Maintain clean and organized work areas while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of electrical experience required
• Marine, shipyard, or industrial electrical experience preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and testing procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Experience using electrical testing equipment and hand tools
• Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and physically demanding environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
