Job Summary:
North Carolina-based medical facility is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with specialization in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) to join their team on nights. The position involves providing care to medical and surgical patients, including those with complex conditions requiring telemetry monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
- Schedule: Nights, Shift time from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications; active license; at least 2 years of Medical Surgical experience; ability to work nights; no prior travel experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and central line blood draws; experience with non-titrating drips including Heparin, Lasix, Protonix; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system; ability to float within scope of practice at the hospital
- Additional Information:
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Approval of RTO up to 7 days allowed
- Staffing involves a team with a CNA in each unit, a charge nurse, 24/7 support staff including hospitalists, residents, radiology, and respiratory therapy
- Orientation includes 2 shifts on the unit
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
