About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 11.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience License: RN License or Compact License (Proof of State Residency Required) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Must have experience with chest tubes, drips, lines, and tubes for post-surgical patients. - Must be familiar with telemetry and complex wound care. - Must have experience with hemodynamic monitoring and invasive BP monitoring through arterial lines. - Must be knowledgeable about medication drips, Bi-PAP/C-PAP, low dose pressors, and inotropes. Description: This position involves working in a step-down unit providing care for cardiology and cardiac surgical patients. The unit consists of 48 beds designated for progressive care needs. Responsibilities will include managing patients pre and post-operatively for conditions such as CHF, as well as telemetry and vascular issues. The registered nurse will care for patients requiring medication management and advanced monitoring techniques. Patient ratios will be as follows: 1:3 during the day shift and 1:4-5 during the night shift, depending on patient acuity. This role involves working with a variety of medical devices and ensuring optimal patient recovery. Registered nurses will be expected to perform procedures, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality care.
