Orthopedic Physical Therapist

Role Overview: The Physical Therapist provides medically prescribed therapy to alleviate pain, restore function, and prevent disability post-disease, injury, or amputation. Responsibilities include developing individualized therapy plans utilizing exercises, manual techniques, heat, water, light, and electrical modalities, and conducting diagnostic and functional tests. Directs patients in active/passive exercises, muscle re-education, and gait training with equipment like ultrasound and diathermy. Treats wound patients, instructs on assistive devices, and monitors patient progress through evaluations. May supervise staff and participate in training students and staff in therapy techniques. Qualifications & Skills: High School Diploma required; Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) after 2015 preferred or required. Minimum experience not specified; licensure as a Licensed Physical Therapist required. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) mandatory, Pelvic Health (preferred), and other licensures as applicable. Must obtain relevant certifications/licenses within 90 days.
