Software Support Engineer
Canonical is seeking a passionate Software Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work with Linux-based infrastructure and applications, addressing complex customer issues related to Ubuntu, Ceph, OpenStack, and Kubernetes. This position offers an opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of open source initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve complex customer problems and provide guidance on Ubuntu and other open source software.
- Collaborate with Field, Support, and product engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in upstream communities and develop bug fixes and patches.
- Review code and maintain clear communication with team members.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional academic background in Computer Science or related fields.
- Experience with Linux and open source software.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, C, C++).
- A willingness to learn and tackle unfamiliar technologies.
- Ability to travel internationally for team meetings and events.
