Description

American Traveler seeks a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with NICU training and CCC-SLP certification for a full-time inpatient rehabilitation role at a children's hospital.

Details

• Inpatient pediatric rehabilitation services at a children's hospital
• Treats patients from birth through adolescence, including NICU population
• Supports children with complex medical needs such as dysphagia, tracheostomy, and traumatic brain injury
• Conducts feeding and swallowing assessments including video-fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS)
• Documents patient progress and outcomes using EMR systems
• 40 hour work week with scheduled shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating on-call weekends required
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Tennessee SLP license required if applicable
• At least 2 years of experience as a licensed SLP
• Required pediatric feeding and swallowing experience
• Required experience in a children's hospital setting
• NICU training required
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy for pediatric patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, physicians, and nurses
• Assist with discharge planning
• Educate families and caregivers on therapy plans and progress
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered
