Billing Clerk

This is a full time position located at MLIH's administrative offices at Fountain Place in Logan, WV.

POSITION PURPOSE:

This employee should possess the ability to quickly and accurately key electronic claims submissions, post electronic payments, and meet a quota deemed necessary by the manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Key daily charges, service tickets, and work aging.
2. Maintain and manage all insurance accounts.

Follow up on all rejections that are received by the clearinghouse. Make phone calls as needed to various insurance companies for claims status. Perform other duties as may be assigned. Review on a regular basis the aging of all patient non-payment accounts. Uphold the state and federal guidelines of the Waiver Program. Enter data electronically into clinical recordkeeping and billing systems and record all events involving consumers and patients of LMAMH on a daily basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma with emphasis on business and typing with some computer experience preferred. At least one year of successful employment in a business office with billing experience. Experience with Athena EHR is strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Logan Mingo Area Mental
