Registered Nurse

This position is for a registered nurse in a progressive care unit. Traveler will float as needed at the discretion of the facility. Floating to a medically appropriate assignment or supporting the nursing care team is expected. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and managing telemetry. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. There may be cancellations of shifts due to low census. The agreement may be canceled with two weeks' notice without fee or fine. Compliance with facility policies is required. Additional responsibilities may include managing chest tubes, administering BiPAP/CPAP therapy, and performing wound care. Acceptable patient ratios during shifts are typically five patients to one nurse. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units based on skill sets and patient census. The role requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills to effectively care for patients. Applicants with prior experience in step-down nursing will be preferred.
