The Apprenticeship Program The Aerospace Technician Apprenticeship is a structured, multi‑year registered apprenticeship program that combines on‑the‑job training at Ontic’s Chatsworth facility with related technical instruction through an approved college partner. Throughout the program, apprentices progressively build technical knowledge and hands‑on skills related to electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies used in aerospace applications. Apprentices rotate through defined production areas, working under the guidance of experienced trainers and mentors while developing the competencies required for long‑term success at Ontic. What You’ll Be Doing Complete a structured two‑year rotation within the Operations organization, building knowledge from basic to complex electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies Attend college coursework as required by the registered apprenticeship program and successfully complete all related instruction, coursework, and exams Rotate through defined production cells, gaining exposure to multiple manufacturing processes Shadow experienced technicians and trainers to learn production build processes Progressively complete designated production builds: With trainer oversight, then independently once qualified Follow all quality standards, work instructions, and documented procedures Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to learning Uphold Ontic’s values and contribute positively to the team culture Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for motivated, dependable individuals who are eager to learn a skilled trade and build a long‑term career in aerospace manufacturing.
