Job Title Technician II – Industrial Mechanical Location Richmond, VA What We Are Looking For A Technician II – Industrial Mechanical will have experience in a manufacturing environment installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, as well as the physical structure of an industrial facility. Essential Competencies Observe and inspect our machinery and facility and make recommendations for changes in procedures and structures. Install, maintain, inspect, and initiate repairs and correction of machinery and equipment. Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, electrical and electronic components of automated machinery. Locate parts and prices to effect repairs, complete required forms for purchases. Use the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose and repair equipment. Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and associated equipment. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed using Fixx work order system. Keep work area clean, safe, and orderly. Operate forklift or boom lift. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Quantifiable Competencies High School Diploma or GED 2+ years in Industrial Mechanical/Machinist 2 years or more in machine based Industrial Electrical/Electronics Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to operate various saws, drills, bench tools and hand tools. Familiar with work order systems. Preferred Competencies Certification High School and Trade School or Apprenticeship. Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to work at heights over 100 feet occasionally. Occasional overtime and extended hours may be needed.
