As a face‑to‑face interpreter, you will use your language skills to assist patients, clients, and others during medical, social service, and other types of appointments across Columbus and nationwide. This is a flexible contractor role that allows you to set your own schedule. Key Features High demand for bilingual skills. Contractor with full schedule flexibility. Assignments available 24/7/365 (most during business hours). Earn more by accepting more assignments. Responsibilities Interpret oral communication between clients and service providers during in‑person appointments. Provide accurate, culturally appropriate interpretations in Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, and/or Urdu. Requirements Resident of Central Ohio. High School Diploma or equivalent. Eligible to work in the United States. Pass a federal criminal background check (fingerprints) and a 10-panel drug screening at no cost. Provide proof of completion of an accredited interpreter training program of at least 40 hours (e.g., Bridging the Gap, Access Academy, court interpretation, university certificate, or degree). Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or complete a third‑party bilingual fluency evaluation through an accredited organization.
