About the Position

Job Title: OR Tech Profession: OR Tech Specialty: Not specified Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Dayshift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (0700-1530), 12 hours (0700-1930) Experience: Minimum of 2 years trauma experience (Level 1 or 2) and travel experience (at least 1-2 previous assignments). License: VA Registration required at submission Certifications: BLS (must be AHA certified) Must-Have: - 2-3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period. - Call requirement: 3-4 weekday shifts and 3-4 weekend shifts (4 hours each) in a 6-week schedule. - Rotation for holiday/night shifts as needed. - Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract. - Experience with neonates and pediatrics is preferred. - Trauma experience is required. Description: The role requires proficiency in a fast-paced surgical environment. Daily case volume is between 70-85. Scrubs are provided. Operating Rooms are active 24/7, 365 days a year. Service lines include Orthopedics, General Surgery, Robotics, Organ Transplants, ENT, Oral/Maxillofacial, Vascular/Thoracic, Urology, and Pediatrics. A self-scheduling system is in place for team members. Float to other units as needed based on census requirements. On-call expectation averages 24 hours over a 6-week schedule.
