Contract | Houston, TX | Energy Industry Position Summary We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join a growing Business Intelligence team supporting enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, semantic models, and reporting solutions that enable data-driven business decisions. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Power BI, DAX, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and data modeling, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and data engineering teams. Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models Create advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and Power Query (M) transformations Develop and optimize star schema data models Connect Power BI to Azure SQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, and other enterprise data sources Manage scheduled refreshes, gateways, row-level security, and workspace administration Troubleshoot report performance, refresh failures, and data connectivity issues Partner with Data Engineers to support Microsoft Fabric pipelines and Lakehouse architecture Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions Document data models, report logic, and technical designs Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience Advanced DAX and Power Query (M) skills Strong SQL querying and data validation experience Experience with relational data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) Experience publishing and administering Power BI Service Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Direct Lake, Fabric Pipelines) Azure Data Factory or other ETL tools Python or R Energy, utilities, or oil & gas industry experience Microsoft PL-300 or DP-600 certification #J-18808-Ljbffr Resolve Tech Solutions
