HOURS Monday-Friday, 8a-5p Schedule: In office for training, after training hybrid schedule THE POSITION We are looking for a full-time Patient Service Representative to join our customer-focused, supportive team. Our Customer Service department is a fast-paced, high-energy environment and you will find yourself challenged and required to use critical thinking every day. You will also be surrounded by a close-knit and supportive group who has the same dedication to serving medically fragile children and their families. Create and confirm delivery tickets for Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Handle internal and external customer inquiries via help desk, phone calls, email, or face-to-face interactions. Maintain and update patient account information, including physician orders and database entries. Process returned mail, "to-dos," and patient supply orders via various communication channels. Coordinate courier services and assist with new patient referrals. Address billing and service-related complaints, ensuring proper escalation when necessary. Uphold compliance with HIPAA and electronic medical record (EHR) requirements. REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or 1–6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Durable medical equipment (DME) intake/admissions experience preferred. Exceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem-solving and communication and strong keyboard skills. A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required. Experience in Brightree EHR is a plus. THE COMPANY Pediatric Home Service is a pediatric home health agency that has provided high quality DME and nursing services to children that are medically fragile since 1990. Our services allow our clients to remain and thrive in their homes, schools, and communities. The majority of the clients we serve are age’s birth through 21 years old and have a variety of technologies that might include a trach, ventilator or g-tube. SALARY RANGE At PHS, we are committed to providing specialized care for medically complex children. We are dedicated to offering fair and transparent compensation to our team members. The range for this role is $20.66 to $23.00 hourly, based on experience and qualifications.
