Position: PERM Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Position Details

• Job Type: Permanent Placement

• Location: Norfolk, VA

• Shift: Night Shift

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week

• Hours: 36 hours weekly

• Shift Time: 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM (or facility equivalent night schedule)

• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required

• Compensation: $37.00 – $40.00/hour

• Facility Type: 101-bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH)

• Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in long-term acute care to Join a dedicated clinical team at a 101-bed LTACH facility specializing in ventilator and tracheostomy patient care in beautiful Norfolk, VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and assessments

• Manage ventilators and tracheostomy care

• Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory status

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams

• Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans

• Ensure compliance with all safety and clinical standards

Ideal Candidate

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia

• Experience with ventilator and trach patients ( preferred)

• LTACH, critical care, or acute care experience( highly valued)

• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

• Passion for compassionate, patient-centered care
