About The Role The Corporate Health & Safety Manager will work side by side with our leadership team to develop and promote a healthy and safe workplace. They provide guidance and administrative support in the development and implementation of various informative programs and initiatives to maintain compliance with applicable health and safety laws and regulations. The Corporate Health & Safety Manager plays a key role in hazard identification and continual improvement towards a best-in-class workplace safety culture. Core Responsibilities Policies and Program Advisor : Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations such as Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines by understanding existing laws, interpreting standards, enforcing them, and advising management on actions needed. Advises leadership staff on policy creation and/or updates. Supports staff on issues of employee compliance with policy. Advises staff on safety considerations in the development of new products, processes, or equipment implementations. Safety Program Development & Education: Develops relevant safety education and awareness programs. Updates programs to meet changes to federal and state regulations as applicable. Organizes educational events to support staff on health and safety protocols and leads internal safety certification programs. Conducts periodic facility audits and reports findings as well as corrective measures to leadership. Incidents Investigation: Develops and educates staff on the protocols for incident response and reporting. Focuses attention on continuous improvement through investigative findings and application of learnings to prevent future accidents. Conducts various periodic drills and evaluates staff performance, providing recommendations for response improvement. Summarizes health and safety performance data into key metrics routinely presented to staff. Leads the safety committee and engages employees in the overall safety process. Engages with the general population regularly, communicating the ongoing importance of safety awareness. Leads the development of annual safety goals and identifies related capital expenditure needs. Skills & Qualifications Proven leadership experience and impact as a Safety Manager or similar in a manufacturing environment Experience in developing policies and implementing safety programs Knowledge of and applicable certification(s) in OSHA regulations Proficient in MS Office Enthusiastic, with a passion for workplace health and safety Ability to work independently and in teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Shaw Bakers
