Warehouse Associate

Position SummaryThe Warehouse Associate coordinates the activities of the pre-sold inventory. This position is responsible for monitoring the accuracy of the pre-sold inventory database, receiving incoming products, stages it in warehouse, and checks products for damage.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesAssists in receiving all inbound freight, unloading trucks and checking for damage and shortages Uses scanners to receive productPlace materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standardsEnsure proper record keeping of packing lists to aid in the research of productAssists in loading and protection of product into trucks for delivery or installMaintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and always work area for orderliness.Ability to drive forklift and man liftsEnsure that all electrically powered equipment is rechargedAbility to operate company trucks and vehiclesPrepares orders by processing pull requests; pull materials; placing orders in delivery areaAssist in counting physical inventoryWear the proper safety equipment in the completion of job dutiesQualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skillsDependable and ReliableInventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be requiredShould possess excellent communication skills; both verbal and writtenKnowledge of MS Office Outlook and ability to learn proprietary software (Hedberg)Ability to follow instructions and adhere to department and company policies and proceduresMindful of maintaining safety in the work environmentMust have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and meet all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicleMust have great attention to detailExhibit flexibility with changing schedules, assignments, work locations and requirementsBasic mechanical aptitudeEducation / ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferredForklift certification required (can be obtained on the job)Language SkillsAbility to read, comprehend, write and communicate in EnglishFollow simple instructions, short correspondence and memosAbility to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers and other employeesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork performed primarily in a warehouse environmentFrequent lifting of furniture components (up to 75 lbs with assistance)Heavy physical activity including walking, standing continual use of hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and meet all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicleAbility to pass a drug screen and criminal background checkThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hyphn
