JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: 102726 Profession: Physician Assistant Specialty: PA - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Torrance, CA 90503 Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Nov 24, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 730a – 6p Call Schedule: 6p-730a Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 20-30 mins Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Vendor COVERAGE DATES Nov 25 – Nov 30, 2026 Dec 21 – Dec 31, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 5-8 patients/day Rounding: Rounding on inpatients post-op Case Mix: CV/CT surgery, ECMO, IABP, Impella FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: 3 MAs, 2 APPs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No Duties & Responsibilities Round on inpatients post-operatively. First assist in cardiovascular/thoracic surgeries. See patients in clinic. Perform endoscopic and radial artery harvesting.
