Sales Associate

Description:

As a Retail Team Member, you will be one of the front line representatives of the Kelley Williamson Company at Kelley's Market. Your work shift will fly as you assist customers by providing them exceptional service primarily as a cashier. Additional you will support vendors, maintain a clean and pleasant store atmosphere, monitor inventory levels, and provide merchandising assistance in our team focused environment to achieve targets and overall success! Here are a few things you will be asked to do:

• Gives all customers prompt and courteous service
• Shares the responsibility for controlling inventory and cash on his or her shift at the store
• Keeps coolers, freezers, store shelves, and displays fully stocked and fronted at all times
• Properly cleans and maintains equipment including coffee and fountain pop at all times
• Aware of and executes all current promotions
• Must have a working knowledge of food sanitation and handling procedures
• Keeps store floors clean at all times, ensuring wet floor signs are placed when necessary
• Checks refrigeration and freezer equipment for proper temperature once per shift
• Continuously monitors restrooms, windows, floors, shelving, deli counters, exterior of station, car wash, and gas pumps taking action as required to ensure they remain clean at all times
• Working shifts assigned by the station manager
• Perform tasks as assigned
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Adhere to city, county and state laws

Requirements:

SOME OF THE JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

• Must be at least 21 (IL) / 18 (WI) or older where required by law for sale of alcohol and tobacco.
• Where required by law: Must be able to obtain/maintain the applicable Operator License required to sell alcohol.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, carry cases of milk, pop, beer, and juice etc. frequently during shift.
• Must be able to operate a point of sale (POS) system
• Must be able to stock shelves and coolers accurately.
• Must be able to shovel snow and/or salt when necessary.
• Must be able to climb ladder to clean windows.
• Must be able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves and lift and carry out trash containers and place in outside bin.
• Must be able to clean parking lot and surrounding landscaping of store.
• Must be able to bend and reach above shoulder level for stocking, counting, and selling products

Compensation details: 15-18 Hourly Wage
