At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. Summary CHS Illinois in Carrollton, IL is looking for a Seasonal Truck Driver to join the team! This individual would help support during our fall harvest (now-mid Dec), hauling fertilizer, liquid chemical, and anhydrous (if has applicable endorsements). The ideal candidate would have a Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or willing to obtain and have the ability to work M-Sat 10-12 hours days (flexibility with schedule). Responsibilities * Operate a semi tractor and trailer and or straight truck to deliver products to customers in the area in a safe and timely manner. * Load and unload product as required, including connecting and disconnecting trailers for product transfer, and follow safety protocols for handling products * Prepare and complete delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs. * Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries and maintain positive customer interactions * Drive in accordance with DOT regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements * Perform pre trip and post trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed. * Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues; follow required * Participate in ongoing training to enhance route knowledge, equipment operation skills, and safety awareness * Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Additional maintenance, cleaning, and operational tasks as needed Minimum Qualifications (required) * Entry-level to early-career commercial driving role; prior experience preferred but not required * Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL * Must meet age requirement * Ability to read, write, and communicate in English * Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately. Additional Qualifications * Prior commercial driving experience (including experience operating a straight truck or tractor/trailer) * Demonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditions * Strong customer service and communication skills * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. * Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.
