Registered Nurse PICU

Job Summary:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Travel RN will provide specialized critical care to pediatric patients with cardiac conditions. This role requires extensive ICU experience with a focus on pediatric cardiac care, ensuring high-quality patient support and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU, adhering to clinical protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to emergencies, and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an RN license with at least 2 years of pediatric ICU or cardiac ICU experience.
• Demonstrate Epic EMR proficiency and pediatric cardiac care knowledge.
• Be available to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Have current certifications in BLS and PALS.
• Willing to float to other units and review clinicians with pending state licenses.
