Required Qualifications Education : MD or DO from an accredited institution; must have completed residency training and be board‑certified or board‑eligible in Internal Medicine. Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in one or more of the following: Teaching in a medical curriculum at an accredited institution. Conducting medical or medical education research. Serving in a clerkship director or equivalent educational leadership role. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching medical students and/or prior service as a clerkship director at an accredited medical institution. Formal training or coursework in medical education. Experience in curriculum design and assessment. Clinical or educational research experience with a record of scholarly dissemination. Key Responsibilities Lead, develop, deliver, and evaluate Internal Medicine curriculum across all four years of medical training. Provide didactic instruction, case‑based teaching, and small‑group facilitation for first‑to‑fourth‑year students. Facilitate instruction in the Healthcare Simulation Lab. Oversee and standardize the Internal Medicine core clerkship during the third year across all clinical sites. Develop and implement advanced electives and sub‑internships for third‑ and fourth‑year students. Support and facilitate the Interprofessional Education curriculum. Continuously evaluate and update curricular content to align with national standards and best practices. Contribute to educational scholarship through research, publications, and conference presentations. Participate in faculty development and mentor junior colleagues. Engage in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work. Collaborate to ensure compliance with COCA accreditation standards. Serve as a role model, promoting integrity, compassion, and excellence in patient care. Mentor and advise students on residency applications and career planning. Construct letters of recommendation for students. Support student scholarly activity and quality improvement projects. Undertake special projects assigned by the Department Chair.
