Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the PCU/Tele unit will provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with various cardiac and telemetry needs. The role involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and treatment plans.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Previous experience in a PCU or telemetry setting is preferred.
