Work Environment

This position is based onsite in the Goldenrod community and primarily involves working directly within patients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and maximizing patients' functional independence.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities through diagnostic tests and functional assessments to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Assess the home environment and make recommendations to enhance rehabilitation efforts and increase independence.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, provide guidance on non-manual exercises, and assist clients in functional activities.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as traction and massage, and apply physical agents to facilitate recovery.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, ensuring optimal fit and function while consulting with the prescribing physician.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights on patient care progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately for compliance and communication with the healthcare team.
• Instruct clients and family members on home exercise programs and the proper use of therapeutic equipment.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as required, ensuring high standards of care delivery in every phase of treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with licensure to practice in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally in a home care or acute care setting.
• Valid CPR certification and current PT license in good standing.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong ability to engage patients and families.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
