Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Work Setting: Primarily in person, with potential hybrid flexibility after onboarding Integrity Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our physician-led outpatient psychiatric practice. Located in the beautiful lakeside community of Tega Cay, South Carolina, just minutes from Fort Mill and Charlotte, our practice is known for thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care, strong patient relationships, and a supportive professional environment. This opportunity is ideal for a PMHNP who values clinical autonomy, meaningful patient care, a four-day full-time schedule, experienced administrative support, and direct access to an experienced psychiatrist for consultation and mentorship. Strong administrative support: Our team assists with scheduling, patient communication, prior authorizations, credentialing, and insurance-related workflows. Efficient systems: We use Athenahealth for electronic health records, scheduling, documentation, and billing. Potential hybrid flexibility: Limited hybrid scheduling may be considered after successful onboarding, based on patient and practice needs. Compensation: Estimated full-time annual earnings are $130,000–$175,000. Compensation is productivity-based and calculated as a percentage of the professional collections generated by the provider. The advertised range represents estimated full-time earnings and is not a guaranteed fixed salary. Actual earnings depend on schedule, patient volume, completed visits, services provided, documentation, insurance reimbursement, and collections. Part-time compensation is also based on professional collections. Position Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Monitor treatment response, medication side effects, safety concerns, and clinical progress Provide clinically appropriate brief psychotherapy during medication-management visits Incorporate supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, behavioral strategies, and other appropriate therapeutic interventions Accurately document psychiatric evaluation, medication-management, and psychotherapy services Order and review appropriate laboratory testing Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, risks, and safety concerns Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, specialists, pharmacies, and other members of the treatment team Complete documentation accurately and on time Maintain professional, ethical, regulatory, and prescribing standards Ideal Candidate: We are seeking a provider who is clinically thoughtful, dependable, emotionally intelligent, and committed to delivering high‑quality psychiatric care. The ideal candidate: Demonstrates strong psychiatric assessment and medication‑management skills Is comfortable providing and documenting clinically appropriate brief psychotherapy Communicates effectively with patients, families, clinicians, and support staff Values continuity of care and meaningful therapeutic relationships Works independently while recognizing when consultation is appropriate Maintains a dependable and consistent patient schedule Completes documentation accurately and promptly Practices with empathy, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment Qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program PMHNP board certification, or board‑eligible and actively pursuing certification Active South Carolina APRN license, or eligibility to obtain one Active DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain one Ability to meet applicable payer credentialing and prescribing requirements Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills Ability to commute reliably to Tega Cay, South Carolina Previous outpatient psychiatric experience is preferred. Candidates who are currently credentialed with major South Carolina commercial insurance plans and who maintain an active, up-to-date CAQH profile are strongly preferred, as this may help expedite onboarding.
