Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Medical/Surgical units, including ventilator, orthopedic, and general Med/Surg populations
• Manage a patient assignment within a 1:9 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by PCA Techs on the unit
• Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Participate in weekend and holiday staffing rotations as required
• Float within Med/Surg units as needed based on staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Current BLS certification
• COVID vaccination required
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients
• Orthopedic nursing experience
• Comfort working in a high-census, fast-paced Med/Surg environment
