IOP Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Decatur, Alabama patient service center. The role involves collecting blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques, performing data entry, processing billing, and delivering customer service across all age groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
• Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
• Process billing information and collect payments from patients
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from accredited agency
• Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience or equivalent certification
• Ability to pass color blindness test
• Reliable transportation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
