Pricing Specialist

Location: Wayzata, MN
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus + Full Benefits (Medical, Retirement)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pricing Specialist to execute pricing strategies and manage the end-to-end pricing process for contractual freight. This role will analyze market data, optimize pricing decisions, improve margin performance, and support revenue growth by balancing customer needs, operational realities, and market conditions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in freight pricing, logistics, transportation, or 3PL operations with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven pricing recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end pricing process including RFPs, bid activity, and freight solution design

• Develop and execute pricing strategies, target rates, and margin objectives

• Analyze freight market trends, win/loss data, and pricing performance to identify improvements

• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Account teams to align pricing with customer needs and capacity requirements

• Identify revenue and margin optimization opportunities

• Support sales teams by communicating pricing strategies and market insights to customers

• Maintain pricing data, reporting accuracy, and process consistency

• Evaluate pricing risks and provide recommendations based on market conditions

• Manage and upload pricing events into internal data systems

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in pricing, freight, logistics, transportation, or 3PL operations

• Strong understanding of freight markets, pricing strategy, and transportation cost structures

• Knowledge of freight characteristics, carrier networks, capacity constraints, and seasonality impacts

• Advanced Excel skills with strong data analysis capabilities

• Experience utilizing external freight rate sources

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
