Pharmacist - NICU/Clinical Position Details:
Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women's and Children's Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees. - Full-Time Position
- Monday - Friday (9:00am - 5:30pm)
- NICU/Clinical Pharmacist role in a healthcare facility environment
- Requires comprehensive clinical review of all NICU medication orders to ensure safety and efficacy
- Responsible for core clinical pharmacist responsibilities such as antimicrobial stewardship, renal dose adjustments, and anticoagulation monitoring
- Conducts drug utilization review studies
- Consults with medical practitioners on medication orders, patient reactions, and errors
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Director of Pharmacy
- At least a bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required, a Doctor of Pharmacy is preferred
- Must have current pharmacist licensure with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Hospital experience preferred but not required
