Service Technician/Mechanic PositionThe Service Technician/Mechanic position is responsible for minor and major repair on aggregate/mining equipment including crushers, screeners, conveyor systems, etc.Main Job Tasks & ResponsibilitiesIdentifies and diagnoses mechanical problems on aggregate equipmentEvaluates mechanical failures, determines cause and completes timely and effective repairsResponds to field service calls as assignedOther tasks as assignedSkills & RequirementsMining background is a plus, familiar with aggregate equipmentPossesses mechanical knowledge on various types of aggregate equipmentRequired to follow all safety policiesAbility to take direction in the shop and field"Can do" attitude with a sense of urgencyStrong communication skillsWelding skills are a plusBoth in shop and field work will be requiredModerate computer skillsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 5 years of hands-on equipment repairDealer or manufacturer training desirableCDL preferredPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
