EHS Manager – Hickman’s

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for an EHS Manager to join our MTQ/Hickman’s team in Arlington, AZ! The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will ensure the implementation and maintenance of all company environmental, health, and safety programs as well as serve as the main point of contact in providing guidance and leadership for compliance and training items within their scope

 

Responsibilities:

• Dir Keep Management Team informed of Environmental, Health, and Safety Concerns or issues
• Oversee Environmental Quality
• Monitor Air and Wastewater
• Monitor Health and Safety Regulations
• Conduct Safety related investigations
• Track Injury Trends and Develop Action Plans
• Monthly Ammonia and Hydrogen Sulfide testing
• Test Generator and Air Quality
• Responding to Citizen and Government Complaints
• Creating New Construction Permits
• Provide training support to the company and ensure all required training courses are
• completed/scheduled
• Manage internal Reports (Safety Walkthrough, Safety Team Correspondence, Training Records)
• Manage External Reports (Complaint Notifications, Inspection Reports, Notices of Violations,
• Legal Documents)
• Regulate Pollutants
• Serve as the main point of contact when outside agencies come on-site to conduct annual
• Assessments
• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five or more years of environmental, health, and safety experience in the food/agriculture
• industry or related experience preferred.
• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Safety Engineering/Management or related fields preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Extensive knowledge in the areas of Workers Compensations, Osha, Safety, etc.
• Available 24/7 as needed
• Standing/Walking for Extended Periods of Time
• Bending, pulling, reaching, and lifting on an as needed basis.
• Fine Motor Skills (typing/handling tools)
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Hourly Rate of $70,000-$90,000
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, tenure, internal equity, market data, and may vary accordingly.
