The Server Assistant at VENETO is invaluable and crucial. Your contribution is welcomed and respected by the entire team. In our busy and hectic environment you serve as a support system for servers. You will excel if a Guest leaves feeling that their every need was met, but they don’t remember seeing anyone at their table. A great server assistant can make the difference between a pleasant dining experience and a poor one.

Server Assistant Responsibilities: 

• Take direction from, and support servers by cleaning, preparing tables between courses, and ensuring that guests are well attended to.
• Approach guests in unobtrusive manner, never interrupting the meal and always directing Guest questions to server.  
• Discretely and professionally clear empty plates and dishes from tables, and refill water glasses during the course of the meal without allowing food or drinks to spill on table, floor, or Guests.
• When directed by server, deliver plates to tables so guests may enjoy their food fresh and hot
• Discretely remove spilled food and crumbs, and refill water glasses.  
• Friendly professional demeanor towards all Guests and team members.  
• Clean tables and reset tables according to defined VENETO standards
• When not busy supporting servers, you will focus on other jobs around the restaurant, including but not limited to: restocking supplies and general cleaning (inside and outside)

QUALIFICATIONS You Bring to the Table:

• An appetite for providing exceptional, memorable hospitality
• Excellent emotional self-awareness, with a clear understanding of Guest and staff boundaries
• Ability to stay calm, professional, and solve problems when under pressure
• Gracious and pleasant demeanor with a positive attitude

REQUIREMENTS of The Job:

• Punctual
• Ability to work well on a team and receptive to taking direction, feedback, and coaching.  
• Fine dining experience a plus, but not required — positive attitude to learn the job and follow set standards and procedures is required.  
• Preferably 1-3 years previous experience at a restaurant with similar service, guest relations & operational standards.  
• Ability to Lift 40+ lbs and stand for long periods of time.  
• Ability to multi-task with obsessive attention to details.  
• Professional appearance / grooming standards appropriate for a premier fine dining restaurant.  
• Must have a stellar track record and a positive attitude.  
• Follow all processes and procedures outlined in training and operational materials.
