Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse - Medication Administration

Schedule: 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM (40 Hour Guarantee)

Job Description: A detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse is needed to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team. This role requires collaboration with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors in a Substance Use Disorder treatment environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
• Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.
• Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by company protocol, federal and state regulations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances.
• Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and state regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
• Provide daily assessment of patients.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor in orienting new nursing staff.
• Perform other related duties as determined by supervisor.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1+ years of medication administration experience - Required
• Experience in an Opioid Addiction Center - Highly Preferred
• BLS Certification - Required
• Skills Checklist - Required
• Two Supervisory Reference Forms - Required
