• Utilize advanced dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for accurate medical documentation, scheduling, and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
• Ensure strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and medical imaging to promote patient safety and prevent cross-contamination
• Collaborate effectively with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and enhance patient comfort during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care to foster long-term oral health habits
• Maintain detailed medical records including dental terminology, medical terminology, and treatment notes while adhering to all legal and ethical standards

Qualifications

• Valid state license to practice dentistry with current DEA registration if applicable
• Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or healthcare setting with proficiency in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, infection control procedures, and dental fabrication processes
• Expertise in pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), oral surgery (dental extractions), and anesthesiology for pain management during procedures
• Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs comprehensively and communicate effectively using dental terminology and medical records documentation
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of aseptic technique and infection control
