Business Analyst/Product Owner

Product Owner Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will define the vision and roadmap for a product within the Capital Markets domain. The ideal candidate will work closely with C-suite stakeholders and the Technology Development Team in a scaled Agile model to create and prioritize stories in the product backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. Responsibilities: Define the vision and roadmap for the product, create and prioritize stories in the product backlog, and articulate this to both stakeholders and the development team Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and with the Technology Development Team in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment Gain an in-depth understanding of Capital Markets applications, how they are used by the business, and how applications fit into the overall deal workflow Create and communicate the product vision and roadmap to C-Suite stakeholders and business teams, and drive user adoption Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, problems, and align them on priorities Create and prioritize features/epics in the program backlog; empowered to make decisions about trade-offs with emerging work versus planned work Create and prioritize work for 1-3 teams and refine stories to ensure enough "ready" stories to load the next 1-2 sprints Review and accept stories and make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements Work in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business Provide application training and demonstrations Requirements: Experience as a Technical Business Analyst working closely with business partners, solution architects, and a Development Manager Experience documenting detailed functional and technical requirements for given business requirements Experience with gathering business requirements, documents, wireframes, epic and story writing, flow diagrams, data mapping, test plans, use cases and scenarios Excellent analytical skills Desired skills: Experience with Jira-Atlassian software delivery web application Understanding of financial/banking processes and domain Previous Development or QA experience Good communication, leadership, and mentoring skills Pay range: $49.46 - $57.46 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
