About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years RN Labor and Delivery experience required. License: Valid RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required. AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 2 years required. Must-Have: - AWHONN certification - Minimum of 2 years of RN Labor and Delivery experience Description: Orientation occurs twice a month. Candidates must hold a valid RN license. ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications are mandatory. AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire. At least 2 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery is required. Floating may be required based on the census. Weekend coverage is necessary every other weekend. The patient ratio is 1:2. Local candidates will not be accepted. The unit will prioritize candidates who possess charting experience with Epic. The role entails responsibilities such as administrative tasks related to blood products, assisting with high-risk deliveries, and conducting postpartum care. Candidates should be adept in managing various procedures including cesarean sections and labor triage. The unit supports an interdisciplinary approach with various allied health services available. It is essential to adhere to safety protocols, including infection control and proper patient identification. Candidates will work with diverse patient age groups and must be equipped to handle both antepartum and postpartum complications.
