Department Summary The UCLA Department of Psychology is an exceptional department known for its excellence in research, teaching, and service. With a distinguished faculty comprising more than 60 ladder rank members, it is one of the nation's top psychology departments. Its undergraduate program is the largest within the Division of Life Sciences and the UCLA College, with nearly 5,000 undergraduate students enrolled across three majors: Psychology, Psychobiology, and Cognitive Science and a minor program, Applied Developmental Psychology. The department also offers a comprehensive Ph.D. program with eight areas of study to approximately 200 enrolled graduate students. Position Summary The Diet, Stigma, and Health Lab is hiring a full-time research analyst to play a critical part in supporting high-impact community engaged research funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The analyst will be responsible for data harmonization, designing and maintaining data management systems, conducting advanced statistical analysis, and preparing funding reporting deliverables. These roles will be essential in contributing to manuscripts and helping community partners meet their missions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, effective at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and protocol adherence. They will also have outstanding data analytic skills including experience in missing data protocols. Salary & Compensation UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications Work Experience 1–2 years of experience in independent research analysis, data management, and required reporting, within an academic setting involving externally funded projects. (Required) Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R and SPSS). (Required) Strong ability to interpret data and apply statistical methods to solve research problems. (Required) Meticulous approach to data entry, harmonization, system maintenance, and protocol documentation. (Required) Experience working effectively within a team of principal investigators, students, and administrative staff. (Required) Ability to work well independently, and creatively problem solve and troubleshoot problems as they arise. (Required) Proficiency in missing data analysis and amelioration. (Required) Proficiency in data mining and deep learning. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training (Required) And Master's Degree in Psychology, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
