1st Shift Packer

PrideStaff is currently seeking a 1st Shift Packer for a manufacturing company located in Fontana, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunity to grow. Please see job requirements below to be considered.
- Pay Rate: $21.00 to $22.50 hourly
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 1st Shift 6:00am to 2:30pm (some overtime and weekends maybe required)
1. Communicate any quality problems to the Crew Leader in a timely fashion.
2. Maintain an accurate count of all pieces packed on pallets. Communicate any count deviation from the standard VBoard packaging schedule to the Crew Leader.
3. Place the correct shipping label onto pallet.
4. Be conscious of the general appearance of pallets being packed.
5. Separate all waste and dispose of properly.
6. Adjust output slides.
7. Oil the 8 points on head table. Prep elevation, index and stacking tables.
8. Assist operator as needed.
9. All other reasonable duties as required. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in all phases of machine and department operation as needed for breaks, changes, or special projects.
2. Keep up to date with any ongoing machine improvements.
3. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
4. Foster an attitude of lean thinking, sustain improvements and follow lean initiatives. WORK RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPE
- Work closely and be in constant communication with Crew leader for direction on daily work schedule and up-coming order changes.
- Have a basic understanding of other positions within the company to maintain team efficiency.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed. Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries to supervision immediately.
- Ensure good communication between shifts.
