Our multi-tenant business SaaS and consumer social platform brings together sports management, community engagement, player experiences, and business operations across web, mobile, and agentic experiences. The company is early-stage, actively pursuing pre-seed funding to turn an existing product foundation into a production-ready platform for go-to-market. This is a high-impact, high-equity Founding Engineer role (not a co-founder). You will be one of the first employees, working directly with the CEO and technical founder (ex-Palantir, ex-Microsoft) to shape not just the products but also the team, company, culture, and future of sports. It is a serious build-and-ship, expert generalist and full-stack engineering role focused on designing, architecting, implementing and productizing game-changing features that are highly available, scalable and production-ready, with robust security and quality assurance. What You\'ll Work On You’ll work closely with the growing team on the full software and product development lifecycle to design, architect, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and productize a modern sports management and social platform across: Tournament, league, and event management Club, team, and organization operations Player profiles, feeds, rankings, and community features Multi-tenant SaaS workflows for businesses and sports communities User experiences across web, iOS and Android AI powered workflows ...and more! React / React Native Next.js / Vite Vercel / Supabase / Fly.io Storybook Python Docker Consumer + business product workflows Who this is for This role is for a hardcore builder, expert generalist, and entrepreneurial 10x AI-native engineer — someone who can move across the stack, figure things out quickly, and carry a large amount of product and engineering responsibility without needing direction. You must be the kind of person who is willing to take extreme ownership of your role and work intensely to bring something ambitious to life. This is an early-stage startup role, not a normal 9-to-5 engineering job. The right person is comfortable with long hours, nights and weekends when needed, fast iteration, imperfect information, and the grind of getting a real product over the line. You should be comfortable with: Building across frontend, backend, mobile, test and infrastructure Taking existing architecture and turning it into production-quality features Owning ambiguous problems from idea to shipped product Working quickly without sacrificing maintainability Debugging, QA, product polish, and deployment readiness Using AI tools aggressively to multiply engineering output Communicating clearly and operating with high trust, low ego, and high urgency Compensation This role is targeted at 1-3% equity with base salary up to $150k. Negotiable for the right candidate. Equity will reflect the early-stage nature and importance of the role matched with your all-star qualifications. Benefits will be considered after subsequent funding rounds. Required Qualifications Passionate about sports and building community 7+ years experience in full-stack software development on web and mobile Deep hands-on experience using AI coding tools like Claude/OpenAI models in VS Code, Cursor, Claude Code, etc. Proven track record building scalable and reliable multi-tenant SaaS applications Solid understanding of modern web and mobile architectures and frameworks Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges Experience deploying and managing production cloud infrastructure and observability High EQ and IQ and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and customers Ability to thrive in a hybrid, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment Able to travel when needed on short notice Bonus Qualifications Prior experience building and scaling products as part of an early-stage startup Working knowledge of agentic workflows powered by LLMs Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Stealth Startup
