Laboratory - Medical Lab Technician

Medical Laboratory ScientistPrimarily evening shift with weekend rotation; 5 - 8 hr shifts per week.This is a 13-week contract position.The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the prompt and accurate performance of assigned laboratory work. The position performs analyses on blood and other body fluids that are crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, maintaining proficiency in all clinical departments of the laboratory.Responsibilities:Perform assigned duties accurately, efficiently, and according to established procedures.Utilize proper techniques and/or equipment during tasks.Prepare and log specimens accurately for processing.Process specimens promptly by using manual or automated methods for analysis.Ensure all quality control criteria are met before releasing reports.Organize work to minimize confusion and prevent errors.Review results for accuracy and completeness and repeat any inconsistent results.Assist with the training of technical personnel as needed.Maintain knowledge of lab and hospital policies and compliance with safety protocols.Manage departmental equipment and maintain inventory of reagents and supplies.Perform specimen collection duties and verify patient identification prior to collection.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS or equivalent.No previous experience required.Why ARMStaffing?Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and moreOnboarding Made Easy: We handle physicals, titers, and more so you can focus on careClinical Support: In-house clinical team available to assist and advocate401k Retirement Plan: Eligible after waiting period; 4% match with 5% contributionRecruiter Matching: Get paired with a recruiter based on your location and specialtyExtras: Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, meals, referral bonuses, and moreWe're not the only ones who think ARMStaffing should be your first choice.
