, is recruiting for a Program Coordinator 1 located in Seward! No Cover Letter Required! This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 18. What You Will Be Doing As a Program Coordinator you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for all activities involved in the planning, implementation, administration, oversight, evaluation and reporting of workforce development grant programs and student service initiatives at the Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC). This includes the administration of state and/or federal funds for programs including, but not limited to, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. You’ll work closely with students, instructors, employers, and community partners to coordinate services, remove barriers to success, and improve employment outcomes. In addition, you will plan and support student engagement activities and other initiatives that enhance the student experience. Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in: Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: Uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one’s knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary. Compliance: Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance. Decision Making: Makes sound, well-informed, and objective decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions; commits to action, even in uncertain situations, to accomplish organizational goals; causes change. Planning and Evaluating: Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
